This week, the Euro‑Arab Chamber of Commerce (EACC) successfully hosted a high‑level online roundtable meeting with the European Council of Leading Business Schools (ECLBS). Broadcast live from Dubai, the event marked a major step in EACC’s mission to support quality improvement and global recognition for higher education institutions in the Arab world.

Strategic Collaboration Towards Excellence

The primary aim of the meeting was to develop a clear action plan for enhancing the international rankings of business schools across the Arab region. Moderated by EACC’s senior education team, the roundtable featured insightful presentations on ranking mechanisms, quality assurance criteria, and best practices in academic performance.

Key discussion themes included:

  • Benchmarking current Arab business schools against global standards

  • Setting realistic KPIs for quality and performance

  • Boosting institutional readiness for global accreditation and ranking systems

  • Designing joint research and training programmes to improve competitiveness

By focusing on these core areas, the session has laid the groundwork for an enduring educational partnership with measurable outcomes.

Tangible Benefits to Our Community

EACC’s leadership emphasized the positive impact such collaboration brings:

  1. Improved reputation: Institutions adopting global benchmarks will benefit from enhanced credibility.

  2. Increased student mobility: High‑ranked programmes attract both domestic and international learners.

  3. Empowered graduates: Students receive education aligned with global market demands.

  4. Greater investment appeal: Strong academic credentials drive public and private sector interest.

These outcomes align perfectly with EACC’s broader goals of nurturing economic integration and knowledge exchange between Europe and Arab nations.

What Comes Next

During the session, EACC and ECLBS confirmed next steps aimed at turning discussion into action:

  • Drafting a formal cooperation agreement detailing responsibilities and timelines

  • Launching pilot assessments for selected Arab business schools starting next month

  • Organizing a regional summit in Q4 2025 to share initial findings and celebrate early successes

This phased strategy ensures both transparency and momentum, with clear checkpoints and public milestones planned throughout.

EACC Reaffirms its Education Vision

In her opening remarks, EACC’s Managing Director of Education stated:

“Our mission is to bridge educational excellence between Europe and the Arab region. By working with respected global partners, we advance quality standards and open new doors for students, universities, and employers alike.”

This initiative illustrates how the Chamber is more than a business connector—it is a catalyst for progress and educational empowerment across continents.
